All Klaipėda residents and guests of the city were invited to spend the whole day actively and contribute to the support of the children of the mentioned institution. Everyone who wanted to could come and exercise on the parquet of the "Švyturis" arena, on which the men of the Lithuanian national basketball team and the representative basketball team of our city "Neptūnas" have played basketball more than once.
The representatives of the "Švyturios" arena were happy that not only individual Klaipėda citizens wanted to play basketball in the arena, but also that they received nice initiatives.
"UAB "Albright Lietuva" and UAB "Vlantana" donated 3 hours for children to play basketball on the parquet of the "Švyturios" arena. Such an opportunity was given to three organizations that take care of children: "Vilties vērinėliai" children and youth center of Žemaičiai Kalvarijas, Gargždai social service center's Child and Family Support Department and Lapiai Children's Home Support Fund, "Švyturios" arena director Aida Aleksandrovienė told "Vakaru ekspres" .
She also thanked the sports director of the Klaipėda "Neptūnos" club, Martynas Mazeikas, and the coaches Audriis Mineikis and Radvilas Kneižis, who took the children well, provided them with practical knowledge and joined the children in good leisure and sports in the "Švyturios" arena.
"It's nice that the entire "Neptūnos" club contributed to the communication of this kindness campaign, and the Klaipėda swimming pool invited the aforementioned children to swim and have fun in the pool," emphasized the director of the "Švyturios" arena.
1900 euros of support was collected for Klaipėda's home for children with impaired development in the "Švyturios" arena. All the money was directly transferred to the account of the baby house - it was conducted by the customers/supporters themselves.
