2026-09-11

The enchanting ice show "Ice Melodies", which has already become a tradition of the holiday season, returns this year with a completely new story, an even more powerful international lineup, and announces the first names, including Olympic, World and European championship medalists and champions, as well as Cirque du Soleil stars.

"Ice Melodies" is the only show of this format in Lithuania, which combines sports, art, music, cutting-edge technologies, special effects and the magic of the festive season. One of the brightest names in this year's show is Nika Egadze, the 2026 European Figure Skating Champion, one of the most impressive and strongest skaters of the new generation.

A special place in the program will also be occupied by Italian ice dancing stars Charlene Guignard and Marco Fabbri. Skating together for more than 15 years, the duo are multiple European and world champions and bronze medalists at the 2026 Milan and Cortina Winter Olympics. In their performances, sport almost imperceptibly turns into art, and ice dancing becomes a real love story. This will be the couple's second appearance on the show "Ice Melodies", but the first as Olympic medalists.

A completely different energy will be brought to the arena by the skaters Nicole Gosviani and Leoluca Sforza from Cirque du Soleil and one of the world's most famous ice shows, Art on Ice. The pair is distinguished by complex acrobatic lifts, power elements and ballet aesthetics. These are moments when athletic precision merges with acting skills, and the viewer can only hold their breath while watching how the most complex elements are performed seemingly without any effort.

In the company of international stars, we will also see 2026 World Championship medalist, two-time European Championship medalist, Milan and Cortina Winter Olympic Games participant, and multiple Belgian champion Nina Pinzarrone.

Aidas Reklys, a figure skating professional, eight-time Lithuanian champion and participant in the European Championships, who has been combining sport and the aesthetics of a grand show in his work for many years, will also contribute to the creation of this story. He is an integral participant and choreographer of "Ice Melodies".

"For me, "Ice Melodies" is an opportunity to participate in a world-class show with the best. It is a huge responsibility, but at the same time an honor. There are no judges or scores here - all that remains is the music, emotion and connection with the audience. It is special to be in one show with such high-level skaters and together create a story that, I hope, will allow compatriots to feel the festive mood. I am happy that I am returning to Lithuania for the third year in a row and contributing to the team creating this show," says A. Reklys.

During its two years of existence, the creators of the show "Ice Melodies" have proven that each performance can be unique and unrepeatable. Every year, the brightest stars of the world's figure skating come to Lithuania, who, together with talented Lithuanian music performers, create a synergy worthy of gold medals. Breathtaking performances, bold creative decisions and emotions that bring full arenas to their feet create an exceptional festive atmosphere that will remain in the audience's memory for a long time.

Soon, the show organizers will announce other participants in the ice show, including Olympic names, the most famous Lithuanian performers and presenters, whom everyone undoubtedly knows.

This year, "Ledo melodijos", inviting audiences to the arenas for the third time, will present a new creative vision. Audiences can expect bold artistic solutions, even more impressive special effects, and emotions that surpass anything seen before.

"Like every year, this time "Ice Melodies" will be completely different. We do not repeat either the stories or the solutions - each time we create the show on a blank white sheet, which becomes the ice. The audience can expect a new emotional journey, a new visual language and even more unexpected artistic solutions that will allow them to experience the show as if for the first time," says Jurga Klimaitė-Riebling, director of "Ice Melodies".

"Ice Melodies" has become a show that brings together the most prominent figures in world figure skating and the most popular stage performers. The participants include Olympic champion and world championship medalist Eric Radford, Olympic Games medalist Jason Brown, Olympic medalists Anastasia Metelkina and Luka Berulava, European champions Lukas Britschgi, Lucrezia Beccari and Matteo Guarise, and many others.

In 2024, the musical atmosphere of the show was created by Rūta Ščiogolevaitė, Jurgis Brūzga and internationally renowned accordionist Martynas Levickis. In 2025, Linas Adomaitis, Jeronimas Milius, Monika Marija, guitar virtuoso Tomas Varnagiris and cellist Liudvikas Silickas appeared on stage. The team for the 2026 musical part will be revealed soon, and the organizers promise an incendiary synergy of live music and performances on ice.
