The legendary Georgian National Ballet "Sukhishvili"
For over 80 years, embodying art, strength of spirit and inexhaustible energy, the first and original Georgian national dance ensemble – “The First and The Original” – has become a symbol of authentic Georgian culture, unparalleled in the world.
The Georgian National Ballet "Sukhishvili" was founded in 1945 by Iliko and Nino Suchishvili. Today, the company is led by the third generation of the family - the grandchildren of the founders. The dynasty has preserved and cherished traditions, making "Sukhishvili" the pride of the artistic and cultural heritage of Georgia.
A unique program awaits audiences in the USA, Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Sweden, Lithuania, Latvia and other countries. It includes the best performances throughout the collective's history - a true embodiment of perfection and the highest craftsmanship, which has become Georgia's calling card on the world stage.
For eight decades, the Georgian National Ballet "Sukhishvili" has been winning the hearts of millions of spectators, performing on the most prestigious stages of the world - from the "Metropolitan Opera" in New York to "La Scala" in Milan. The world has called it variously: "the eighth wonder of the world" (The New York Times), "a hurricane on stage" (Daily Telegraph), "an energy capable of raising an entire hall to its feet" (Le Figaro). However, all these descriptions are united by one thing - "Sukhishvili" is a phenomenon that has no equal in the world. A real frenzy of energy and beauty.
The concert program is a real explosion of emotions. Virtuoso men's dances with elements of acrobatics, jumps and impressive sword spins make the audience gasp in admiration, while the women's parts captivate with grace and grandeur. One of the most striking symbols of the collective remains the unique men's dance on their fingertips - an exclusive feature of "Suchishvili", which other performers simply cannot repeat.
In addition to the impressive dance frenzy, the audience is also treated to a true visual luxury: costumes made of natural fabrics, decorated with silk embroidery, sparkling stones and metal details. The live orchestra of the ensemble creates a special world of sounds - it uses unique national instruments and ancient performance techniques, carefully passed down from generation to generation.
With 80 years of history, it has been recognized by millions of fans, performed in tens of thousands of concerts, performed in over a hundred countries on five continents, and performed on stages where only the best are applauded. The Georgian National Ballet "Sukhishvili" has forever inscribed its name in the history of world culture.
"Sukhishvili" is more than a concert. It is a celebration that combines history, pride, and an extraordinary vital energy that will remain in the hearts of the audience for a long time to come.
