Although the PARA-THON of Kindness has already flown by, the high emotions and beautiful memories we created together still warm our hearts. In one day, solid support was donated to Klaipėda's home for children with impaired development, and everyone contributed to this - both the organizers and partners of the event, as well as all the participants. "Švyturios Arena" administration says THANK YOU!
The goal is to educate and help you grow
The organizers and partners of the event were happy that as soon as the information about the organized Kindness PARA-THON and the open floor of the Švyturios Arena became public, there was a lot of interest. The ingenuity of the public was surprising, because the arena was reserved for tournaments of teams of families, friends, work groups. This year there were also participants who even celebrated their birthdays on the dance floor, while doing sports and donating funds to a noble cause. All of them left the arena with big smiles and good emotions on their faces.
According to the director of the Klaipėda Švyturi Arena, Aida Aleksandrovienė, the Klaipėda Švyturi Arena has joined Gerumus PARA-TON for the second time and will also seek to help develop this noble project in the future.
"We dream of opening the doors of the arena wider to the public, educating about the importance of sports, the physical and emotional benefits of modern people in a hurry, and using this initiative to create a miracle of kindness for children. It is optimistic that 3 more partners joined the event initiated by Klaipėda Basin this year. Not only us, but also the Akropolis and GG Arena teams participated. All together managed to collect about 5000 EUR. All the money went to the Klaipėda Children's Home for Developmentally Impaired Babies. We hope that next year, together with the public's help, even better results will be achieved", says A. Aleksandrovienė.
24/7 open parquet
We remind you that on May 31st - June 1st, Klaipėda citizens and guests of the port city who are not indifferent to sports, especially basketball and the Klaipėda "Neptūno" basketball team, had the opportunity to play basketball on the floor and test their strength in competition with professional basketball players and at the same time donate funds Klaipėda Home for Babies with Impaired Development.
"We are glad to be able to contribute to this noble initiative, and at the same time, spread the word about professional basketball to the public more widely. I believe that together, with our joint efforts, we not only created memorable, fun moments on the court, but also contributed to helping those who are in dire need of help at the moment," says Martynas Mažeika, director of the Neptūnas basketball club.
The biggest basketball fans joined the open training session with the ball masters of the "Neptunos" team. The most daring basketball fans challenged the Neptune basketball team in the 3×3 tournament. Of course, "Neptūnas" won, but all participants could feel the excitement of sports and were awarded commemorative prizes.
