The period from the 1960s to the 1990s is often referred to in music history as the golden age of rock, when bands that became timeless classics reigned over radios, record players, headphones and dance halls. Talented actors and singers Vidas Bareikis, Egidijus Sipavičius, Liepa Mondeikaitė, Oneida Kunsunga, Simonas Storpiristis, Indrė Launikonytė and, of course, a Lithuanian rock legend Vladas Kovaliovas, together with a group of professional musicians, invites you to move to the times when a real musical revolution took place - "The Age of Rock: Arena Show".
Sharing their amazing energy, the artists will create an incredible atmosphere that allows you to experience the spirit of rock music with real rock music anthems. In the "Rock Age" concerts held in the largest halls of the country, music will be combined with history, show elements and unique solutions.
"When I heard rock for the first time, I realized that it was my music," admits singer Egidijus Sipavičius. - This music is very nostalgic for me - Black Sabbath used to play at school dances, areas we used to listen to "Nazareth" at our classmates', and for the first time I sang "Deep Purple" and "Queen" at a dance party. That music laid a really bright foundation for my further music - I was looking for hints of rock everywhere. Participating in this project is a wonderful opportunity to return to the days of my youth."
Performer Liepa Mondeikaitė is convinced that people love rock because of how this music makes them feel.
"Rock music is unique and extremely creative. Rock music has evolved over time to include various sub-genres and styles, so it appeals to many people, and many can find themselves in it. Listening to rock music gives you that sense of fulfillment. It's a whole - electric guitars, drums, bass guitars, keys, vocals - it gives you that supernatural feeling, and you just want to break free, dance and go completely crazy," says Liepa.
Singer Vidas Bareikis says that although he listens to various genres of music, rock occupies a really important place in his life's playlist.
"From the first guitar chords with Metallica to sweat drops during sports training with System of a Down, from the rebellion with Nirvana to the refreshing energy of Foo Fighters," says the artist. - At every stage, rock music is a source of energy from which you can draw a lot of strength. Since I was born in 1986, I was still too young for big stage rock bands. But I used to hear all the legends of Queen, Guns N' Roses, Aerosmith, AC/DC from my older relatives, and now it will be fun to perform them myself live."
Actress and singer Oneida Kunsunga says that she grew up with rock music, it shaped her and her musical taste. However, the artist cannot say that she feels nostalgia for this music - even today, Queen, Tina Turner, The Rolling Stones and others are constantly playing in her playlist. "Many different events are associated with these great artists and their music. I think everyone is like that, when they hear songs, they remind us of something, and sometimes it's just nice to listen to good music that never gets old", she is convinced.
The concerts are directed by the talented film director Indrė Juškutė, and the lighting design, scenography solutions, recreating the spirit of the crazy rock age with all the necessary show elements, are created by the innovative lighting and scenography artist Paulius Varonenka. Rock music diva Indrė Launikonytė takes care of the musical part.
